Albert Myron Remme

Albert Myron Remme, 90, of Dennison, Minnesota died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born January 24, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Martin and Mabel (Baker) Remme. Albert was baptized and confirmed at Vang Lutheran Church. He attended Kenyon High School and farmed with his dad on the family farm in Warsaw Township. Albert married Evelyn Armstrong on October 6, 1951 at the parsonage of Rev. Hanes in Dundas, Minnesota. At the age of 27, Albert was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii where served as a Heavy Equipment Operator during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to farming the Remme family farm and shared nearly 60 years with the love of his life, Evelyn.

Albert was a collector of Case and Ford tractors, Ford trucks, Harley Davidson, and attended many car shows and swap meets.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Remme of Dennison; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; brother, Marlo Remme; half brothers and sisters, Joel Remme, Ferdinand Remme, Mabel Finesgaard, and Theresa (Dolly) Miller.

Visitation isĀ at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Vang Lutheran Church rural Dennison on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Vang Lutheran Church with The Reverend Paul Graham officiating. Interment will be in the Vang Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Kenyon Color Guard. Memorials are preferred to Vang Lutheran Church or Vang Lutheran Cemetery.
