The Dennison Lions Club will host Dennison Days coming up August 4 & 5 with many old favorites returning to the weekends event schedule.
Check the website www.dennisondays.org for any schedule updates. Friday night will kick off with a Bags Tournament at 625 Bar & Grill and Free Live Music from Nashville recording artist Lyssa Coulter on the Mainstreet Stage at 7:30. Check out Lyssa’s bio at www.lyssacoulter.com.
Saturday morning brings the Pancke & Egg Breakfast hosted by the Nerstrand-Dennison Fire Department and Dennison Lutheran Community Church under the tent.
City Wide Garage sales are also part of the days events.Just look around for the signs.
The Classic Car Show hosted by the Clutchmen Club will again be on main street across from the Fireside.
Other activities include Euchre, which will be at The Fireside Lounge this year, and the Truck and Tractor Pull on on the north side of town. The 5 K Run/Walk returns this year. Participants can sign up after 7 AM and be a part of a fun activity to help raise funds for the Dennison Community Lutheran Church and their outreach programs. The race kicks off at 8.
For participating runners, a Free Breakfast is included that you may enjoy before or after the run. The Cow Milking Contest is at 10 AM, and this years special guests will be announced soon. Kids Bingo will begin about 11 under the big tent.
The Dennison Days Parade is at 12:30 PM, with a $100 Prize for Best Float.
Afternoon events include a foosball tournament hosted by the 625 Bar and Grill, and the return of The Road Rally at 1:30. The kids pedal pull will take place after the parade at 2pm.
Gift Card and Purse Bingo under the big top at 3:30 PM, And the yet to be determined Game Sow at 5 PM
Again this year is FREE Saturday EVENING ENTERTAINMENT under the Mainstreet tent, with Variety Bank Wreckless taking the stage.(www.wrecklessband.com)
