Nerstrand Fire & Rescue would like to extend a huge thank you to Hamilton County Public Safety Communications - Indiana for their generous donation of surplus Motorola APX mobile and portable radios.
These radios will directly replace equipment in our fleet that is no longer repairable or supported by the manufacturer. With this donation, we will be able to update all of our radios to APX models and even add additional units to our department.
This provides a substantial budgetary savings while strengthening our ability to communicate in the field.
We are currently working with the Rice County Sheriff’s Office – Emergency Management ARMER System Administrators to update and program the radios for use on the statewide system.
Strong, reliable communications are essential in public safety, and this partnership demonstrates how building relationships between agencies helps us better serve our community.
