Soup’s on at Gol Lutheran Church for its annual Harvest Luncheon 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, October 18 at the church just west of Kenyon at 1500 Highway 60 Blvd. Take-out orders are also available.
Gol invites the community for the church specialty, homemade vegetable beef and barley soup, mixed and simmered under direction of Julie Hogy, Gold Soup Crock Pot Honor winner at the spring Kenyon area internship soup cookoff. Complementing the soup, the menu features barbecues, potato salad and pie –and neighborly conversation--at this seasonally inspired event.
In addition to the delectable food, there will be a silent auction for art, fall décor, Christmas décor, baskets for readers and other items.
Proceeds will help support Lutheran Campus ministries on state college campuses, Ruth’s House, Kenyon Food Shelf, Dorothy Day House, Hope Coalition, Goodhue County Christmas Project and several more organizations. Thrivent funds is also providing funds for the luncheon.
For further information or take-out orders, call or text Julie Hogy at 507-491-3505.
